Background

PAN-ECP is a forum for two-way communication between the Psychiatrists Association of Nepal (PAN) and psychiatrists in the early stages of their careers. It offers a structured platform for professional development, representation, and participation within PAN.

Aims

1.Identify and address the needs of ECPs and support their professional development.

2.Contribute to PAN activities and educational initiatives relevant to ECPs.

3.Facilitate ECP participation in PAN membership, leadership, and initiatives.

4.Strengthen communication between ECPs and the wider PAN membership.

5.Promote academic development, research, mentorship, networking, and collaboration

Membership of PAN–ECP

Eligibility: Current PAN members who are up to 40 years of age or within 7 years of specialization in psychiatry, whichever is later.

Resident ECP bridges the gap for residents without PAN membership, keeping them connected and encouraging them to join PAN soon after specialization.

All Members receive a newsletter (coming soon) and updates on webinars, research, leadership,mentorship, and collaborations, with opportunities to connect with ECPs worldwide, including India, Japan, Europe, and Other nations worldwide via whatsapp group. Priority for opportunities, is given to PAN–ECP members. ECPs after completing specialization who are not yet PAN members are encouraged to join soon.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Executive Committee

1. Represent ECP interests within PAN and in national and international forums.
2. Identify key issues affecting ECPs and communicate them to PAN.
3. Support PAN’s educational, research, and professional activities including Resident ECP group.
4. Facilitate mentorship, networking, collaboration, and research among ECPs.
5. Encourage ECP participation in PAN activities and leadership.
6. Maintain regular, inclusive communication with members.
7. Undertake other relevant tasks assigned by PAN.

Governance and Coordination
The PAN–ECP Committee works under PAN and in coordination with the PAN Executive Committee. The Chairperson leads, and the Secretary manages meetings, communication, documentation, and implementation.
